Student & Young Professional Activities Committee

Helping computing students and early career members find their professional identity by providing unique engagement opportunities and access to a wide range of resources such as membership, mentoring, competitions, skill building, scholarships and much more!

The Student & Young Professional Activities Committee is a standing committee of the IEEE Computer Society Member and Geographic Activities Board and is responsible for designing membership activities to specifically address the needs of students and early career members.  Its primary objectives are to:
  • Design initiatives and projects specifically designed to address the needs of students and / or early career professionals at the local level at the chapter, section, regional, and international levels.
  • Create educational, technical, and professional development opportunities that emphasize the value of IEEE Computer Society Membership.
  • Represents the views of students and early career professionals to the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors,  its standing committees as well as the IEEE Students and Young Professionals Affinity Groups.
