Speaker: Doug Finke

Doug Finke | Global Quantum Intelligence

Chief Content Officer of Global Quantum Intelligence

Doug Finke is the Chief Content Officer of Global Quantum Intelligence (GQI) and the Managing Editor of the Quantum Computing Report by GQI, which he founded in 2015 as the first news and analysis website dedicated to quantum technology. He brings a broad range of experience to help explain and accelerate the adoption of quantum computing in the broader marketplace. Doug began his career as a mainframe computer design engineer at IBM and later held various executive roles in marketing, engineering, and operations at Intel, Western Digital, Corning, and several startup companies. He holds degrees in computer engineering and management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and MIT, respectively, and holds eight patents in the field of computer technology.

Key Takeaways

Picking the right time to start something new is a fine balance. Start too early with immature technology and your team can get frustrated and your corporate bosses will grow impatient to see results. Start too late and your competition could get a jump on you and leave you behind.

  • Guidance on important considerations for enterprises planning to start working with quantum tech.
  • Recommended steps for managers to take to uncover potential opportunities, obtain corporate support, and build a team to help ensure a success with quantum projects.
