Dr. Shashikant S. Patil: Distinguished Engineering Academic and IEEE Leader

Dr. Shashikant S. Patil is a Professor and Director at Atlas SkillTech University, Mumbai, with 28 years of experience in academia and industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from NMIMS Mumbai and is a Senior Member of both IEEE and ACM, along with prestigious Fellow Membership from IET (UK), IETE, IEI, and other prestigious institutions. A prolific researcher, Dr. Patil has authored over 100 publications in signal processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation technologies. He has received multiple Best Paper Awards and the Best Researcher Award 2014 from NMIMS Shirpur.

During his tenure at NMIMS Shirpur, he established and served as Professor In-Charge of the Rs. 5 crore SVKM's NMIMS Bosch Rexroth Centre of Excellence in Automation Technologies, demonstrating exceptional institutional leadership. His IEEE leadership is exceptional, having served as Secretary-Treasurer of IEEE Bombay Section, IEEE RFID Council Vice President, and Advisor of IEEE Bombay Section. He is an Associate Editor for IEEE Access, Nature Scientific, and IET journals and has contributed to over 500 international conference committees.

Dr. Patil's expertise spans technical education, research innovation, and organizational leadership, making him a respected figure in engineering academia.
